Lucinda Ellery   I would like to wish everybody an amazing New Year now that the Christmas rush is over.Every year, I am reminded how wonderful the girls are that come here. I so appreciate all the lovely cards and your special words as do the entire staff. We are fully and completely aware of how amazing the women are that come to us and what a joy it is to work with you all. I am so grateful for each and every one of you and I want to tell you how much joy you bring to my life and it is a privilege and an honour to have the opportunity to design for you. So many people comment on how beautiful the surroundings of the studio are and I would like to take this opportunity to ask you if there is anything we can do to make the space more beautiful and comforting for you. Please don’t hesitate to bring it to my attention. For those of you still facing dark days with your treatments; know that I am here. For those of you coming out of the systems the other side and moving on with your own hair, I wish you great joy and hair happiness always. I’ve heard some remarkable stories this year, we’ve had a small part to play in helping our fellow ladies improve their lives and I hope to be able to share some of them with you throughout the coming year. I’m truly humbled at the unique opportunity you give me to work with you and would like to thank you so much for trusting us with such a precious piece of you Happy New Year with all my best wishes Lucinda x   Channel 4 Documentary - Girls on the Pull – Amelia (Mel) Story Mel was one of our clients featured on the Channel 4’s ‘Girls on the Pull’ documentary which followed the story of three girls who have the condition Trichotillomania (TTM). This is Mel’s story: I first met Lucinda 20th February 2010 for a consultation. I tued up not knowing what to expect, I had seen the amazing work that her team have done on clients on the inteet but never would have thought in a million years that could one day be me. I instantly felt a connection with Lucinda, she told me I WILL have my hair back and she understood me and my condition unlike anyone I had spoke to before. I left the salon feeling overwhelmed that this is real and I can with help look normal again in the not to distant future. From leaving the salon that day I stopped pulling my hair, I made myself small achievable goals until my big appointment in April 2010 and kept regular contact with Lucinda who was my rock through this whole process. The big day was finally here 27th April 2010, I was in London going to have my Intralace System™ fitted, I entered the salon with the horrible mess and lack of hair on my head. The team were brilliant, I had a great day with everyone. Several hours later, I left feeling a whole new women, I felt amazing, I looked amazing and realised that moment this was me from now on. A confident women with beautiful hair which I have never been before in my life, only in my dreams. I could not explain my emotions, I had so many going through me at that time it was indescribable feeling. A dream come true!

I had my regular check ups with my hair which I loved, the staff where great and contact with Lucinda who was now my hairy god mother, she kept me on track and focused on my aims. My urge to pull disappeared over time I was determined to beat TTM, it had controlled me and my life for far too long. I was enjoying buying accessories for my hair, trying new styles and I absorbed every compliment I received. 6 months on it was time for my first realignment 27th October 2010. My Intralace System™ was removed and nothing could have waed me for what was undeeath, all I could describe it as was a great mass of hair, MY hair, long, thick, black hair all my own. With some   magic by the staff it was a beautiful short cut all my own hair in 6 months, still now I can’t believe the whole process was so quick for me. I would not have done it with out Lucinda who I still have regular contact with and always will. She is a friend for life. My whole life has been transformed for the better thanks to Lucinda.I started 2010 with no hair, no confidence feeling like a freak and a failure. I am starting 2011 with a full head of my own hair, a confident 22 year old women and active mother with nothing to hold me back in life. Lucinda Ellery Scotland We are currently researching the possibility of opening a branch of Lucinda Ellery in Scotland. At the moment we   are inviting people to register their interest on our websites and we are asking clients if their preference for location would be either Edinburgh or Glasgow. We are delighted with the ongoing success of our Manchester branch and we are excited at the prospect of having a Lucinda Ellery outlet in Scotland. Please keep an eye on our websites for any future developments.   Bank Holidays Historically, we have closed Lucinda Ellery Consultancy on the Tuesday following a Monday Bank holiday, as a replacement day holiday. This policy has now changed and therefore we will no longer close on the four Tuesdays following a Bank holiday Monday.
